Understanding the Unconscious and Shadow
What is the Unconscious / Shadow?
The unconscious mind resides within your body and it contains your operating system: your inner narrative, beliefs, emotions, traumas. This part of you is highly intelligent but is also inherently designed for survival.
While survival energy is necessary at times of our life, survival energy is rooted in fear, it is important to recognize that this is not inherently wrong. However, operating primarily from this fear-based energy can lead to a significant loss of personal power.
Consider this: your unconscious mind acts as a powerful magnet. When driven by fear, it attracts experiences and circumstances that resonate with those fears, perpetuating a cycle that often feels uncomfortable or undesirable.
The Unconscious is the a part of us that we are not aware of. It is the framework of our beliefs and the way we react, behave and express ourselves instinctively. This is why the Unconscious is also known as the Shadow.
In Jungian psychology, the Shadow is a part of us that tends to hinder our psychological advancement. The Shadow represents the unconscious aspects of the personality that an we either repress or deny. The traits, desires, and impulses that are often deemed undesirable, socially unacceptable, or in conflict with one's self-image are โhiddenโ in the unconscious or shadow.
However, this part of us contains immense power, so what if we could bring the unconscious and the shadow into consciousness and get our power back?
This is exactly what Kismet Mystic is here to teach.
Why Integrate the Unconscious and Shadow?
When we repress or suppress parts of ourselves, we create a seperation from a very important part of who we are. The sense of separation we experience is an internal construct because others can see in us what we can not see in ourselves.
Although we are inherently whole, our perception of wholeness diminishes when we push certain parts of ourselves into the unconscious or shadow. We often do this as a protective mechanism, labeling these parts as "bad," "unsafe," or otherwise judged.
As a result, the shadow and unconscious accumulate fear, guilt, shame, pain, and grief that gets stored in our body. We may find ourselves avoiding these aspects of our psyche, striving to evade the feelings we dread.
Somatic Releasing and Neural Reprogramming is a process that invites you to reconnect to the hidden parts of you. By doing so, you create the opportunity understand yourself and actually transform your operating system.
